  1. What is Single Window Industrial Clearance Portal?
    Single Window Industrial Clearance Portal is an online service of The Department of Industries & Commerce, Punjab for submitting application for industrial clearances. This is basically One-Stop Information Centre for Industry Clearances, and provides a facility for Online Submission of the Composite Application Form (CAF). After submission of the CAF, the applicant can also track the status of CAF.
  2. What is CAF?
    CAF is Composite Application Form. For industrial promotion and to facilitate the industries, PUNJAB Government has adopted a single window industrial interface by introducing Composite Application Form (CAF).
    It comprises of three parts:
    a. Common Information Sheet
    b. Application Forms of all clearances covered under CAF
    c. Guidelines pertaining to application forms/clearances for applicant
  3. What is Common Information Sheet?
    A Common Information Sheet is a part of Composite Application Form which covers general information such as project details, contact person details, product and raw material details etc. This information is provided to all concerned departments.
  4. How to submit CAF online?
    1.    Create your account. Click here to create your account.
    2. Fill Common Information Sheet.
    3. Fill Departmental Application Form(s) for each clearance you required.
    4. Fill CAF Processing & Clearance(s) Fee Detail Sheet. Your application will not be considered until you provide processing fee details.
    5. Verify details of CAF before you submit it for processing.
    6. Submit CAF for processing.

  5. What to do after submitting CAF Online?

  6. Where to submit Hard Copy of CAF?
    You can submit the hardcopy of CAF at Udyog Sahayak, Industrial Facilitation Cell.

    A processing fee in the form of a Bank Draft payable to the Chief Coordinator, Udhyog Sahayak at Chandigarh.

  11. Why do I need to register myself as an entrepreneur on SWIC portal?
    Registration is essential to apply online for any industrial clearance covered under SWIC service. In other words, registration makes you eligible to submit the Composite Application Form (CAF) online to get clearance(s) for your industrial unit.
    In addition, registered entrepreneur can also track the status of his application on the portal.
  12. How do I register as an entrepreneur on SWIC portal?

  13. How do I get my account details/password?
    On successful completion of Entrepreneur Registration form, immediately a confirmation email along-with your account password is sent on the email address you provide us in the registration form.
  14. What if I do not receive Entrepreneur Registration Confirmation email from the portal?
    If you do not receive your registration confirmation e-mail, please check your junk mail/spam filter to ensure the mail reaches you.
    If you still do not receive the email even after couple of minutes/hours, you can request the portal to send you ‘Registration Confirmation’ email again. Remember, you have to send your request before your account is expired. Click here to send the request .
  15. How do I login to the SWIC portal?
    For login to the SWIC portal, take the steps listed under:
    1.    Go to the Home Page of SWIC portal.
    2. Go to the “Existing Entrepreneur: Login Here” panel.
    3. Enter the requisite information & click on Login Button.
  16. I have forgotten my user id. How do I log-in now?
    If you have forgotten your user id, then you can request the system to send you your User ID again. System asks you about your credentials to identify you and then an email carrying your User ID is sent on your email id. Click here to know your User ID.

    If you have forgotten your password, then you can request the system to send you your password again. System asks you about your credentials to identify you and then an email carrying your password is sent on your email id. Click here to know your Password.
  18. What if I do not accept Terms & Conditions?
    If you do not accept the, Terms & Conditions of SWIC portal, then you cannot register yourself on the portal. That means, you can not avail online services offered by the portal.

  20. What is meant by Red Category of Industries?
    All small scale industries and, high & medium scale industries which are potentially high polluting causing threat to environment are termed as RED category of industries. Highly polluting Industries in Red Category.
  21. What is meant by Green Category of Industries?
    All small scale industries and, high & medium scale industries which do not fall under RED category of industries are termed as to be Green category of industries. Green Category industries are least polluting and have less impact on environment.
