CAF Application Processing Procedures

Step 1Receipt of Application:
 1a.A system generated unique application number is assigned to the application for its later identification. This unique application number is immediately shown on screen and communicated via email too to Entrepreneur on online submission of Composite Application.
 1b.Notification on receipt of application is sent via email to Industry Nodal Officer and concerned department(s).
Step 2Verification of Application:
The particulars of application are verified for its completeness by the concerned department and one of the following actions is taken accordingly:
 2a.If application is found complete by the concerned department, it is considered for further processing.
 2b.If application is incomplete and it is desired by department that more information is required to process this application then within 7 days of receipt of application department can ask the entrepreneur to provide complete information. The entrepreneur provides more information just by updating relevant clearance(s) data online.
 2c.If application seems to be fake, it is rejected and no further action is taken on it.
 In either case, notification is sent to entrepreneur and nodal officer.
Step 3The concerned department processes the Composite Application Form and subsequently clearance may or may not be granted. In either case status of application is passed to Industry Nodal Officer and entrepreneur as well.
Step 4Issue of NOC/Clearance Certificate – if clearance is granted by concerned department then No Objection Certificate is issued by the same department itself and if it is a deemed approval case then certificate is issued by Nodal Agency as per provision of Deemed approval.

If application is not processed by the department with the prescribed timelines, then Nodal Agency (Udyog Sahayak) may grant the clearance whereever applicable under deemed approval provision. But in this case, Nodal Agency intimates the concerned department before doing so.

Note: Timelines of concerned department starts from date of receipt of complete Composite Application Form (CAF).
